🍃 Hey friends! After watching the latest episode of House of David, one line really stuck with me: “It’s not about the greatness of the giant; it’s about the greatness of God.”
No spoiler alert needed—we all know how that story ends (we’ve read the Book!). But that line got me thinking, and I’d love to reflect on it with you for a moment.

The battlefield fell silent. All eyes were on a small, unimpressive shepherd boy standing across from a seasoned warrior whose armor gleamed in the afternoon sun.
Goliath roared and mocked, certain of his victory. But David didn’t flinch. He didn’t rely on a sword or shield. He stepped forward with a sling, a stone, and unwavering faith in the God who had delivered him before.
You know the rest. But here’s the truth that changes everything: David didn’t focus on how big Goliath was. He focused on how much bigger God is.

Maybe your giant isn’t ten feet tall and wearing armor, but it still feels huge.
• It might be a health issue that keeps throwing curveballs at every doctor’s visit.
• Or maybe it’s finances—those bills just won’t stop coming, and you’re not sure how it’s all going to work out.
• Perhaps it’s something going on in your relationships—tension, silence, or pain that feels too broken to fix.
• Or maybe it’s the fear of the unknown—the “what ifs” that show up in the middle of the night and steal your peace.
When you're staring something overwhelming in the face, the real question isn’t, “How big is this problem?” It’s, “How big is my God?”

📖 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts… For the battle belongs to the Lord, and He will deliver you into our hands.” - 1 Samuel 17:45, 47

🛠️ In "Goliath Must Fall: Winning the Battle Against Your Giants," Louie Giglio shares some powerful steps for facing the giants that try to dominate our lives:
✅ Identify the giant. - Be honest. Is it fear, anger, rejection, comfort, or addiction? Name it so you can face it.
✅ Change your focus. - Giglio writes, “Our giants are already dead... they just don’t know it yet.” Fix your eyes on Jesus, not on the size of the struggle.
✅ Take your thoughts captive. - Freedom often begins in the mind. Replace the lies your giant tells you with God’s truth. Don’t let toxic thoughts feed your fear—declare God's truth.
✅ Anchor your identity. - Remember who you are in Christ. You’re not defined by fear. You’re defined by what God says about you.
💡 “Your giant is dead, but still deadly. He can shout lies, but he can’t steal your victory unless you let him.” - Louie Giglio

🙏 Lord, You see the things that feel way too big for me. Some days, it’s hard not to feel small and afraid. Right now, I choose to remember who You are—strong, faithful, and always with me. Help me trust You more than I fear what’s in front of me. I don’t fight alone—this battle is Yours. Amen.
